Just a matter of awareness!

The 'era' of the Consciousness has begun
Though due to it all, always and there since...

One may sit back and let it randomly hit
Or come forward, embrace the existence indeed.

Just a matter of awareness! If not there still!
Useless then, will look the current grab, foolish!

Domination of the Nature is gone, replaced with...
Used to rule the world through the animal instinct!

The Nature now safe, back to its own divinity
In proportion to the requisites of the day and the deed...

To reveal the hidden game, the Cosmos is ready
Wants to manifest the Eternal Consciousness in the entirety.

O Lord! Thank you beloved Mother!

Consciousness is a fundamental thing, the fundamental thing in existence — it is the energy, the motion, the movement of consciousness that creates the universe and all that is in it - not only the macrocosm but the microcosm is nothing but consciousness arranging itself.

Consciousness is made up of two elements, awareness of self and things and forces and conscious-power. Awareness is the first thing necessary, you have to be aware of things in the right consciousness, in the right way, seeing them in their truth; but awareness by itself is not enough. There must be a Will and a Force that make the consciousness effective. SA

The only thing that is truly effective is the change of consciousness; it is inner liberation through a close and constant union, absolute and inevitable, with the vibration of the supramental forces. The preoccupation of every second, the will of all the elements of the being, the aspiration of the whole being, including all the cells of the body, is this union with the supramental forces, the divine forces. And there is no longer any need at all to be concerned with what the consequences will be. What has to be in the play of the universal forces and their manifestation will be, quite naturally, spontaneously, automatically; there is no need to be concerned about it. The only thing that matters is the constant, total, complete contact - constant, yes, constant — with the Force, the Light, the Truth, the Power, and that ineffable delight of the supramental consciousness.

A devotion that keeps concentrated and silent in the depths of the heart but manifests in acts of service and obedience, is more powerful, more true, more divine, than any shouting and weeping devotion.

Sincere devotion is much more effective than the Ganges water.

Worship: the form or outer expression of your devotion.

True worship: total and constant without demand or exigence.

True love and consecration lead much quicker to the Divine than an arduous Tapasya.

Volume 14, pp. 103-112

The nature of Bhakti is adoration, worship, self-offering to what is greater than oneself; the nature of love is a feeling or a seeking for closeness and union.

Bhakti is not an experience, it is a state of the heart and soul. It is a state which comes when the psychic being is awake and prominent.

In the way of ahaitukī bhakti, everything can be made a means – poetry and music, for instance, become not merely poetry and music and not merely even an expression of Bhakti, but themselves a means of bringing the experience of love and Bhakti.

These are the exaggerations made by the mind taking one side of Truth and ignoring the other sides. The inner bhakti is the main thing and without it the external becomes a form and mere ritual, but the external has its place and use when it is straightforward and sincere.

What is meant by bāhyapūjā [external worship]? If it is purely external, then of course it is the lowest form; but if done with the true consciousness, it can bring the greatest possible completeness to the adoration by allowing the body and the most external consciousness to share in the spirit and act of worship.

the deeper the emotion, the more intense the Bhakti, the greater is the force for realisation and transformation. It is oftenest through intensity of emotion that the psychic being awakes and there is an opening of the inner doors to the Divine.

Rise to arise ...

Convert that 'want' for superficial materiality
To the warm dedicating connect of aspiring.

Same track but the scale higher, thus the feel
The former ends where the later then, begins.

The Want is a very primitive lower vital origin
The Aspiration is a call from here to the Origin.

By the time one reaches to the aspiration stream
Grown way beyond petty wants, desired, clings.

Rise to arise to aspire to the great beloved Supreme
The only extension worth to realise, thereby to live...

Thank you, Lord! Your blessings through this...

Well, it takes away your quietude, that is the first effect. It makes you agitated, nervous, impatient and dissatisfied when you don't immediately obtain what you have asked for, and usually as vehement in your despair and dissatisfaction, with a strong sense of your helplessness.

Desire is altogether something else. Desire is something which acts completely horizontally. [old p. 337]

In your ordinary consciousness you want something; you do not have the least idea of aspiring for some existing thing or some progress or a higher knowledge or greater realisation. You see [new p. 337]an object in a shop and want it. That's it. Or it crosses your mind that it would be good to eat a certain thing, and you want it. These are desires; they concern things on the same plane as you. Moreover, in desires also some people are obstinate, vehement, and some have fugitive and weak desires. There are both types.
...
And to tell the truth, very few people have a very pure aspiration. An aspiration, a will to progress, just that; it stops there. Because one aspires for progress and then, there we are, let us not go farther. We want progress. But usually there get mixed up with it all kinds of desires for the results of this progress. And so desire comes in, you see; this brings exactly what he says, a consciousness which is impure and muddy, and inside this nothing higher can come. This must be completely eliminated to begin with. If one looks at [old p. 338]himself very sincerely, very straightforwardly and very severely, he very quickly perceives that very few things, very few movements of consciousness are free from being mixed with desires.

Even in what you take for a higher movement, there is always... no, [new p. 338]happily not always, but most often there is a desire mixed. The desire of the sense of one's importance, if only this, that kind of self-satisfaction, the satisfaction of being someone superior.

“...the thirst for progress, the thirst for knowledge, the thirst for transformation and, above all, the thirst for Love and Truth...Truly a thirst, a need, All the rest has s no importance; it is that one has need of.
To cling to something one believes that one knows, to cling to something that one feels, to cling to something that one's loves, to cling to one's habits, to cling to the world as it is, is that which binds you. you must undo all, that, one thing after another. Undo all the ties.... No more bond-free, Always ready to change everything, except one thing:
to aspire, this thirst.... [for] the 'Something' one is in need of, the Love one is in need of, the Truth one is in need of, the supreme Perfection one is in need of and that is all.... a need, which the Thing alone can satisfy nothing else, no half-measure, only that. And then, you go!"

Faced with the sense of a Power or perhaps a number of Powers greater and higher than himself by whom his life in Nature is overshadowed, influenced, governed, man naturally applies to it or to them the first primitive feelings of the natural being among the difficulties, desires and dangers of that life, — fear and interest. The enormous part played by these motives in the evolution of the religious instinct is undeniable, and in fact, man being what he is, it could hardly have been less; and even when religion has advanced fairly far on its road, we see these motives still surviving, active, playing a sufficiently large part, justified and appealed to by Religion herself in support of her claims on man. The fear of God, it is said, — or, it may be added for the sake of historical truth, the fear of the Gods, — is the beginning of religion, a half-truth upon which scientific research, trying to trace the evolution of religion, ordinarily in a critical and often a hostile rather than in a sympathetic spirit, has laid undue emphasis.  But not the fear of God only, for man does not act, even most primitively, from fear alone, but from twin motives, fear and desire, fear of things unpleasant and maleficent and desire of things pleasant and beneficent, -therefore from fear and interest. Life to him is primarily and engrossingly, — until he learns to live more in his soul and only secondarily in the action and reaction of outward things, — a series of actions and results, things to be desired, pursued and gained by action and things to be dreaded and shunned, yet which may come upon him as a result of action. And it is not only by his own action but by that also of others and of Nature around him that these things come to him. As soon, then, as he comes to sense a Power behind all this which can influence or determine action and result, he conceives of it as a dispenser of boons and sufferings, able and under certain conditions willing to help him or hurt, save and destroy.

In the most primitive parts of his being he conceives of it as a thing of natural egoistic impulses like himself, beneficent when pleased, maleficent when offended; worship is then a means of propitiation by gifts and a supplication by prayer. He gets God on his side by praying to him and flattering him.
...
A confused mixture of all these motives, variously developed, often modified, subtilised or glossed over, is what constitutes nine-tenths of popular religion; the other tenth is a suffusion of the rest by the percolation into it of nobler, more beautiful and profounder ideas of the Divine which minds of a greater spirituality have been able to bring into the more primitive religious concepts of mankind. The result is usually crude enough and a ready target for the shafts of scepticism and unbelief, — powers of the human mind which have their utility even for faith and religion, since they compel a religion to purify gradually what is crude or false in its conceptions. But what we have to see is how far in purifying and elevating the religious instinct of worship any of these earlier motives need to survive and enter into the Yoga of devotion which itself starts from worship. That depends on how far they correspond to any truth of the Divine Being and its relations with the human soul; for we seek by Bhakti union with the Divine and true relation with it, with its truth and not with any mirage of our lower nature and of its egoistic impulses and ignorant conceptions.

Your singular creativity...

Lord! Thank you...

For this world in forms and boundaries
Thus, the Delight exists of the Unity.

With variations, divisions, portions all in
With specifications, peculiar identities...

Through colors, shapes, types, sizes
Labels, purposes, contexts, utilities...

How all that merge, emerge continuously
Through circulation of progression systematically!

This vision! The experience! Your ultimate gift.
Always the reference. Your singular creativity...

a big big Bow at your lotus feet...

All existence is one; it is existence of the One Being, divine, infinite, eternal, absolute.

What we see as the Many, is the multiplicity of the One. All these apparently separate persons and objects are also the one existence; they are beings of the One Being. For That is their one self; in their spiritual essence they are That, even in the play and form of their being they are That; they are personalities of the one Person, they are manifestations of the one Existence, they are so many realities of the only Real. In no way are they separate and independent from It, but in every way live by It, are of It, can be nothing else. All forces are powers of the one Force, the sole Power of the One Being; there is no other force than his. All objects are formations of the one Existence; there is nothing that exists in itself and apart from That, nothing that is of an individual essence other than the one Essence of the universe.

What we see as finite is not other than the Infinite. All is in the Infinite, all exists by the Infinite, all is of the stuff of the Infinite. No object or person could come into being or remain in being by its own finite and individual power; none exists by its own limited substance and essence other than the substance and essence of all others; all are at bottom indissolubly one. There is effective determination, definition, demarcation, diverse formation in the universe but no essential separation or division.

A tree is separate as an object or phenomenon, but it is not a separate existence divided from all around it; there is a one-existence and a one-energy that has taken form of tree, constitutes every atom, molecule, fibre of it, pervades and is its whole structure of being and this existence, this energy not only abides in all of it and flows through all of it but extends everywhere around and is, constitutes, energises all other objects in the cosmos. Each finite is in fact the Infinite; all apparently separate or divided existence is only a front of the Indivisible.

All that we see as temporal is not other than the Eternal. The form of that which is in Time is or appears to be evanescent, but the self, the substance, the being that takes shape in that form is eternal and is one self, one substance, one being with all that is, all that was, all that shall be. But even the form is in itself eternal and not temporal, but it exists for ever in possibility, in power, in consciousness in the Eternal. Form is manifested and withdrawn from manifestation; it may be manifested by immediate apparition or it may be manifested by construction and withdrawn from manifestation by destruction or disaggregation, but in either case it exists beforehand in the consciousness and being of the Eternal. If it did not so preexist in power and possibility, it could not be created in actuality. For the actual proceeds from the possible and the possible is always a possibility of the truth of the Eternal.

Never a permanent host!

Against the Divine is a hostile force
Once registered, offer from the root to all.

It creeps in, settles slowly, takes the mind control
Just a tiny hole and spreads in the whole.

Intentions, expressions or even thoughts,
Reactions, perceptions, actions get toxic from.

Awareness can point out whenever pops
Just a glance! Reject and let go to absolve.

In heightened state, before enters, can be caught
Pick, pluck or pamper! It can never be a permanent host.

Period!

The forces that stand in the way of sadhana are the forces of the lower mind, vital and physical nature. Behind them are adverse powers of the mental, vital and subtle physical worlds."
* Letters on Yoga, Cent. Ed., p. 635

"... there are all the difficulties of ignorance of the different states of being, to which are added the endless malice and the unbounded cunning of the hostile forces in the world."
* Questions and Answers 1950-51, M C W, Vol. 4, pp. 251-52

The reality of the Hostiles and the nature of their role and trend of their endeavour cannot be doubted by anyone who has had his inner vision unsealed and made their unpleasant acquaintance."
*Letters on Yoga, Part One, p. 24

It is known that there is a lower nature and a higher spiritual nature it is known that they pull different ways and the lower is strongest at first and the higher afterwards. It is known that the hostile Forces take advantage of the movements of the lower nature and try to spoil through them, smash or retard the siddhi.... But it has also always been known that those who are sincere and faithful in heart and remain so and those who rely on the Divine will arrive in spite of all difficulties, stumbles or falls."
* Letters on Yoga, Cent. Ed., p. 1731

You ought to realise that these things are attacks which come on you... When it comes, you have to realise that it is an attack and refuse instead of accepting it.... This state which tries to come upon you and seize is not part of your true self, but a foreign influence. To yield to it and to express it would therefore be not sincerity..."
*Ibid., pp. 1752, 1749

They [the hostile attacks on the outer being] are felt as suggestions, or a touch on the surface mind, vital, physical or as movements in the atmosphere (the personal or the general environmental consciousness) but for the inner being it is like gusts or storms outside. If they penetrate by chance into the house, they are immediately ejected and the doors and windows banged on them there is nothing that accepts them or tolerates them inside."
* Ibid., p. 1757

"The only way to fail in your battle with the hostile forces is not to have a true confidence in the divine help. Sincerity in the aspiration always brings down the required succour. A quiet call, a conviction that in this ascension towards the realisation you are never walking all alone and a faith that whenever help is needed it is there, will lead you through, easily and securely."
