આપો! અવકાશ ...

'વારસો' ઉછેરવો થઈ સભાન

નથી વારસાગત સર્વ પ્રદાન.

જાત, વ્યવસાય, સમાધાન

નથી વારસાજન્ય યોગદાન.

દર જન્ય મૂકે અનેરું જગસ્થાન

પોતીકું અદકેરું અનન્ય પ્રમાણ.

શાને જીવે દર પેઢી જૂનવાણ 

એ જ જીવની એ જ પરિણામ?

ઉત્ક્રાંતે છે જીવ લઈ તન સાથ

જ્ઞાન, બુદ્ધિ, આત્મન, હ્રદય ને પ્રાણ.

કૌશલ્યો, ક્ષમતા, અભ્યાસ

અલાયદા અભીપ્સા ને અંતરપોકાર.

આપો! અવકાશ, માન સન્માન

રોપો ભાવિ! જેમાં જણ, જગ ઊજાળ 

જનક જનનીથી વિશેષ, સજાગ.

મનુષ્યથી મનુષ્ય પ્રતિ અહોભાવ...

આભાર ... આભાર ... આભાર ...

જય હો પ્રભુ...

FATE followed her foreseen immutable road. 

Man's hopes and longings build the journeying wheels 

That bear the body of his destiny 

And lead his blind will towards an unknown goal. 

His fate within him shapes his acts and rules; 

Its face and form already are born in him, 

Its parentage is in his secret soul: 

Here Matter seems to mould the body's life 

And the soul follows where its nature drives. 

Nature and Fate compel his free-will's choice. 

But greater spirits this balance can reverse 

And make the soul the artist of its fate. 

This is the mystic truth our ignorance hides: 

Doom is a passage for our inborn force, 

Our ordeal is the hidden spirit's choice, 

Ananke is our being's own decree.

Without character, without some kind of high or strong discipline, there is no enduring power of life. SA

Discipline is indispensable to progress. It is only when one imposes a rigorous and enlightened discipline on oneself that one can be free from the discipline of others. The supreme discipline is integral surrender to the Divine and to allow nothing else either in one's feelings or one's activities. Nothing should ever be omitted from this surrender - this is the supreme and most rigorous discipline. TM

It can be said that any discipline whatsoever, if it is followed strictly, sincerely, deliberately, is of considerable help, for it makes the earthly life reach its goal more rapidly and prepares it to receive the new life. To discipline oneself is to hasten the arrival of this new life and the contact with the supramental reality. TM
