ન હતો એ અમસ્તો યોગાનુયોગ!
એ જન્મદિને, ભારતનો જયઘોષ.
વીરયોગી ને વિરલ દેશ! સુયોગ
બ્રહ્માંડ જગાવતો દિન એ અજોડ!
દર્પણ, સ્મરણ, સમર્પણ સંયોગ
દીધો; ખૂંપી, ખેડી અતિમનસ છોર,
સમગ્ર ઉત્થાનનો આધ્યાત્મ દોર,
સર્વોચ્ચ બન્યો 'અરવિંદ' પુર્ણયોગ.
એકતા, શાંતિ, સત્ય, અહિંસાજોગ ,
મુક્ત માતૃભૂમિ બની જગને બોધ.
રાષ્ટ્રકંઠે ઊગ્યો સ્વાતંત્ર્ય ઊદઘોષ,
આઝાદ કણકણ, પ્રજાહસ્તક માભોમ.
ધ્વજવંદે ઊજવે આ દિન દેશ લોક,
અખંડ ભારત ને અતુલ્ય માનવખોજ.
બેયનાં યશ ને ઊજ્જવળ ભાવિ શોધ
પ્રાર્થે 'મોરલી', વંદે ઓ દિવ્યસ્ત્રોત...
૬૯ વર્ષનાં આઝાદ ભારતને વંદન...
અહોભાગ્ય ગણું કે જન્મ પોતાનાં પ્રજાસત્તાક દેશમાં લેવાં મળ્યો, જેમાં જીવનનું યોગદાન દેનાર રાષ્ટ્રપિતા સાથે એ દરેક વીરો, લડવૈયાંઓ, શહીદો અને એ સમગ્ર પેઢીને...શત શત નમન...
આ આપણા વિરલ ભારત દેશ સાથે વાત એ વીર યોગીની...
જેણે આઝાદીનાં ૩૭ વર્ષ પહેલાં આવનાર સ્વતંત્રતાનું જીવંત સ્વપ્ન દુનિયા સમક્ષ મૂક્યું હતું.
In an interview in January of 1910, Sri Aurobindo told a correspondent of a vernacular Tamil weekly named “India”:
“Since 1907, we are living in a new era which is full of hope for India. Not only India, but the whole world will see sudden upheavals and revolutionary changes. The high will become low and the low high. The oppressed and the depressed shall be elevated. The nation and humanity will be animated by a new consciousness, new thought and new efforts will be made to reach new ends. Amidst these revolutionary changes, India will become free.” [1]
જ્યારે ૧૯૪૭માં એ હકીકત બની ઊતરી આવ્યું ત્યારે...
Sri Aurobindo wrote this message at the request of All India Radio, Tiruchirapalli, India, for broadcast on the eve of India’s independence. This is the message which was broadcast on August 14, 1947. It is of special relevance and importance even now.
"August 15th, 1947 is the birthday of free India. It marks for her the end of an old era, the beginning of a new age. But we can also make it by our life and acts as a free nation an important date in a new age opening for the whole world, for the political, social, cultural and spiritual future of humanity.
August 15th is my own birthday and it is naturally gratifying to me that it should have assumed this vast significance. I take this coincidence, not as a fortuitous accident, but as the sanction and seal of the Divine Force that guides my steps on the work with which I began life, the beginning of its full fruition. Indeed, on this day I can watch almost all the world-movements which I hoped to see fulfilled in my lifetime, though then they looked like impracticable dreams, arriving at fruition or on their way to achievement. In all these movements free India may well play a large part and take a leading position."[2]

An Avatar is an emanation of the Supreme Lord who assumes a human body on earth. TM
The word Avatara means a descent; it is a coming down of the Divine below the line which divides the divine from the human world or status.
The Avatar comes to reveal the divine nature in man above this lower nature and to show what are the divine works, free, unegoistic, disinterested, impersonal, universal, full of the divine light, the divine power and the divine love. He comes as the divine personality which shall fill the consciousness of the human being and replace the limited egoistic personality, so that it shall be liberated out of ego into infinity and universality, out of birth into immortality. He comes as the divine power and love which calls men to itself, so that they may take refuge in that and no longer in the insufficiency of their human wills and the strife of their human fear, wrath and passion, and liberated from all this unquiet and suffering may live in the calm and bliss of the Divine.
