બસ! સમય પૂરતું જ.

સામાન્ય મન માને 

એ શૂન્ય સ્થિતિ નિર્બાધ

જીવન હવે રિક્તતામય 

ન પ્રવૃત્તિ ન કાજ!

જૂનવાણી આ રીતિ, 

માન્યતા ને પ્રચાર.

નવી સમજ પ્રભુ દીધી 

જેમાં એનો સાચ્ચો જવાબ.

હકીકતે આત્માની આ જીવનફેરી 

ને અનુરૂપ સ્વભાવ

કોઈક અનુભવથી આંતરિક સ્થિતિને 

જરૂરી છે એ અલગાવ.

આત્માએ મૂક્યો સંપૂર્ણ 

અસ્તિત્વ માટે એ અવકાશ

બાહ્ય અલિપ્તતામાં ભીતરને 

મળી રહ્યો છે આરામ.

બસ! સમય પૂરતું જ. 

જેવું સમજાશે કે આ વ્યર્થ છે રોકાણ,

મા-દિવ્ય પ્રત્યે ખુલ્લાં 

એને ક્યાં જરૂરી ઉબડખાબડ ચઢાણ!

ચૈતન્ય દે સીધાં 

ઉર્ધ્વ-તિ-ઉર્ધ્વ ગંતવ્ય માર્ગ 

વિના એકેય અડચણ 

અવરોધ કે અટકાવ.

કારણ પ્રભુ જ ધરે છે એ સફર મહાન ...

Our renunciation must obviously be an inward renunciation; especially and above all, a renunciation of attachment and the craving of desire in the senses and the heart, of self-will in the thought and action and of egoism in the centre of the consciousness. For these things are the three knots by which we are bound to our lower nature and if we can renounce these utterly, there is nothing else that can bind us.

All renunciation is for a greater joy yet ungrasped. Some renounce for the joy of duty done, some for the joy of peace, some for the joy of God and some for the joy of self-torture, but renounce rather as a passage to the freedom and untroubled rapture beyond. SA

દર હાસ્ય પાછળ વસે રુદન પીડામય ક્યાંક!"

આત્મા કહે:

"શાશ્વત છે આનંદ એને અનંત રીતે પિછાણ 

દર ક્ષણ છે હાસ્યજનક ને કૃપા પરિણામ."

પ્રકૃતિ કહે:

સાશંક રહેવું સતત અદલાબદલી અહીં ખાસ,

"આ આવ્યું, એટલે જવાનું" ન રહેવું બેધ્યાન!

આત્મા કહે:

"તું સનાતન, કારણ સનાતનની પેદાશ,

નિશ્ચિંતપણે શ્રદ્ધા વિશ્વાસે મક્કમ ડગે ચાલ."

પ્રકૃતિ કહે:

"હું જ છું સર્વોપરી, મારે નિર્ભર છે માનવજાત,

માયા, મિથ્યા ગમે તે કહે, રમતમાં ઉલઝાવું જીવનજાળ!"

આત્મા કહે:

"હે દેહધારી! તું છે સાધન સર્વોચ્ચ, ભીતરથી જીવન જાણ,

પ્રકૃતિને પણ પલટાવ શક્તિરૂપ ને અણનમ ડગે દિવ્ય ઉતાર"

બંનેનાં લક્ષ, અભિગમમાં કેટલો અંતરાવ!

ક્યાં પ્રકૃતિની એની એ જ પુનરાવર્તિત લઢણ!

ક્યાં આત્માની પરિવર્તનકારી શાશ્વતી ઢાલ!

દર મગજને પોતાના હોવાનો આગ્રહ અને અનુરોધ છે

જાણે દર જણ, આ દુનિયા ચલાવતું કોઈ જરૂર બળ છે

છતાં દર મનબુદ્ધિને કશોક તો એ સત્તા સામે પ્રતિશોધ છે

દર જીવ નિર્જીવ તારો જ તો નિર્ધારિત કણ ક્રમ નિયમ છે 

તો પણ જીવંત દર સંસાધનને પોતાની હુકુમતનો ઘમંડ છે

એ ગતિ વિરુદ્ધ જવામાં લેવાતો ગર્વ સફળતાનો માપદંડ છે

સારાઈની કાંચળી ઓઢી ન બનાવી જાય!

જગ તો પછી, પહેલાં ખુદને સમજાવી જાય,

મૂરખ થઈને મુર્ખામીનો પ્રચાર કરાવી જાય!

ઈરાદાઓ મૂંગા, અદ્રશ્ય પણ ડોકાઈ જ જાય,

વર્તન પહેલાં ને પછી, છાપ એ જ છોડી જાય.

સાચ્ચી સારાઈ કદી ન ઘડામણ માંગી જાય

ચૂપચાપ સહસા બસ! છતી થઈ વર્તાઈ જાય.

શોરબકોર અકળામણ કે વિના તૈયારી જાય

સંદર્ભ મળ્યે અચાનક સહજતાથી સરી જાય.

અંતરે જો સાફસૂથરી ને શુદ્ધ સચ્ચાઇ જીવાય

અહંકારને ક્ષેત્રસન્યાસ કાયમનો લગાવી જાય.

પાળવું શું જરૂરી ભીતરે એ સ્પષ્ટ સૂચવી જાય,

પરિણામ એ થકીનું જીવનનો ઝોક બદલી જાય.

What we call oneself is only the ego. Our true self is the Divine. TM

Human nature is shot through in all its stuff with the thread of the ego; even when one tries to get away from it, it is in front or could be behind all the thoughts and actions like a shadow. To see that is the first step, to discern the falsity and absurdity of the ego-movements is the second, to discourage and refuse it at each step is the third, - but it goes entirely only when one sees, experiences and lives the One in everything and equally everywhere.

Our ego, boasting of freedom, is at every moment the slave, toy and puppet of countless beings, powers, forces, influences in universal Nature. The self-abnegation of the ego in the Divine is its self-fulfilment; its surrender to that which transcends it is its liberation from bonds and limits and its perfect freedom. SA
