Equanimity,
Not detached or attached to any...
Yet perfect in equality...
Not dry or immerse in any
Yet in perfect harmony...
Not swallowed or dispersed any
Yet waxed, in deep floating...
Not escaped or expectant any
Yet in poise and solace still...
A great state of being, 'Morli',
Yet humble open for learning...
One of the fundamental bases of any yogic practice. Gitaji has provided many beautiful verses on the same too.
It is essential for equanimity to be established before the descent of peace, knowledge, light is called for.
This equanimity is not dry and complacent. It is more of a neutral opening where things happen; based on the usefulness, they are processed for necessary development.
This equanimity has a null but sharp eye. Not everything is considered but nothing useful is exempted.
This makes the aadhar deserving slowly and gradually...makes it understand, experience and discern.
This equanimity is not dead mind and intellect which is dry and ignorant but brings more poise and solace.
Upto an extent keeps a status quo in adversity as well as in delight too...
Upto an extent keeps a status quo in adversity as well as in delight too...
Thank you...

Flower Name: Iberis, Candytuft
Significance: Equanimity
Immutable peace and calm.
Equanimity and peace in all conditions, in all parts of the being is the first foundation of the yogic status. Either Light (bringing with it knowledge) or Force (bringing strength and dynamism of many kinds) or Ananda (bringing love and joy of existence) can come next according to the trend of the nature. But peace is the first condition without which nothing else can be stable. SA
The more a person is quiet in front of all occurrences, equal in all circumstances, and keeps a perfect mastery of himself and remains peaceful in the presence of whatever happens, the more he has progressed towards the goal. TM
