પ્રકૃતિ પ્રગતિશીલ ...


સઘન અંધકાર કે સખ્ત અંધ આંતરિક 
સર્વ તવ રૂપધારી પ્રકૃતિ પ્રગતિશીલ.

નથી કાયમી, સ્થાયી કે સ્થિતિ જડિત 
સર્વ તવ રૂપધારી પ્રકૃતિ લયબદ્ધ ચલિત.

તીવ્ર છેડાઓ વચ્ચે ને અંતરાયો સહિત 
સર્વ તવ રૂપધારી પ્રકૃતિ સ્તરો વિભિન્ન. 

તિમિર કે પ્રકાશિત બંને યોજન પ્રભાવિત 
સર્વ તવ રૂપધારી પ્રકૃતિ સમાયોજિત.

ફક્ત જાગૃત આત્મા પલટે ગતિ નિર્ધારીત

Spirit is the crown of universal existence; Matter is its basis; Mind is the link between the two. Spirit is that which is eternal; Mind and Matter are its workings. Spirit is that which is concealed and has to be revealed; mind and body are the means by which it seeks to reveal itself. Spirit is the image of the Lord of the Yoga; mind and body are the means He has provided for reproducing that image in phenomenal existence. All Nature is an attempt at a progressive revelation of the concealed Truth, a more and more successful reproduction of the divine image.

But what Nature aims at for the mass in a slow evolution, Yoga effects for the individual by a rapid revolution. It works by a quickening of all her energies, a sublimation of all her faculties. While she develops the spiritual life with difficulty and has constantly to fall back from it for the sake of her lower realisations, the sublimated force, the concentrated method of Yoga can attain directly and carry with it the perfection of the mind and even, if she will, the perfection of the body. Nature seeks the Divine in her own symbols: Yoga goes beyond Nature to the Lord of Nature, beyond universe to the Transcendent and can return with the transcendent light and power, with the fiat of the Omnipotent.

But their aim is one in the end. The generalisation of Yoga in humanity must be the last victory of Nature over her own delays and concealments. Even as now by the progressive mind in Science she seeks to make all mankind fit for the full development of the mental life, so by Yoga must she inevitably seek to make all mankind fit for the higher evolution, the second birth, the spiritual existence. And as the mental life uses and perfects the material, so will the spiritual use and perfect the material and the mental existence as the instruments of a divine self-expression.

Realisation ...


Realisation is the beginning 
Though fragmented or complete,
A state, a feel or that's how perceived!

A whole different experience that is
When the realised is then lived
In reality, the life becomes that indeed.

Never then, a part or of a story
But a living example the life journey
With a new scale and a level of living.

The Truth then, an origin of thing every.
Through pure power the life leading
Every moment is then the truth unfolding...

The spiritual realisation can be had on any plane by contact with the Divine (who is everywhere) or by perception of the Self within, which is pure and untouched by the outer movements. The Supermind is something transcendent — a dynamic Truth-Consciousness which is not there yet, something to be brought down from above.

The realisation of the Spirit comes long before the development of Overmind or Supermind; hundreds of sadhaks in all times have had the realisation of the Atman in the higher mental planes, buddheḥ parataḥ, but the supramental realisation was not theirs. One can get partial realisations of the Self or Spirit or the Divine on any plane, mental, vital, physical even, and when one rises above the ordinary mental plane of man into a higher and larger mind, the Self begins to appear in all its conscious wideness.

Light of realisation is not the same thing as Descent. Realisation by itself does not necessarily transform the being as a whole; it may bring only an opening or heightening or widening of the consciousness at the top so as to realise something in the Purusha part without any radical change in the parts of Prakriti. One may have some light of realisation at the spiritual summit of the consciousness but the parts below remain what they were. I have seen any number of instances of that. There must be a descent of the light not merely into the mind or part of it but into all the being down to the physical and below before a real transformation can take place. A light in the mind may spiritualise or otherwise change the mind or part of it in one way or another, but it need not change the vital nature; a light in the vital may purify and enlarge the vital movements or else silence and immobilise the vital being, but leave the body and the physical consciousness as it was, or even leave it inert or shake its balance. And the descent of Light is not enough, it must be the descent of the whole higher consciousness, its Peace, Power, Knowledge, Love, Ananda. Moreover, the descent may be enough to liberate, but not to perfect, or it may be enough to make a great change in the inner being, while the outer remains an imperfect instrument, clumsy, sick or unexpressive. Finally, transformation effected by the sadhana cannot be complete unless it is a supramentalisation of the being. Psychicisation is not enough, it is only a beginning; spiritualisation and the descent of the higher consciousness is not enough, it is only a middle term; the ultimate achievement needs the action of the supramental Consciousness and Force. Something less than that may very well be considered enough by the individual, but it is not enough for the earth-consciousness to take the definitive stride forward it must take at one time or another.

What I mean by the spiritual transformation is something dynamic (not merely liberation of the Self or realisation of the One which can very well be attained without any descent). It is a putting on of the spiritual consciousness, dynamic as well as static, in every part of the being down to the subconscient. That cannot be done by the influence of the Self leaving the consciousness fundamentally as it is with only purification, enlightenment of the mind and heart and quiescence of the vital. It means a bringing down of the Divine Consciousness static and dynamic into all these parts and the entire replacement of the present consciousness by that. This we find unveiled and unmixed above mind, life and body. It is a matter of the undeniable experience of many that this can descend and it is my experience that nothing short of its full descent can thoroughly remove the veil and mixture and effect the full spiritual transformation. No metaphysical or logical reasoning in the void as to what the Atman "must'' do or can do or needs or needs not to do is relevant here or of any value. I may add that transformation is not the central object of other paths as it is of this yoga -- only so much purification and change is demanded by them as will lead to liberation
and the beyond-life. The influence of the Atman can no doubt do that -- a full descent of a new consciousness into the whole nature from top to bottom to transform life here is not needed at all for the spiritual escape from life.

થવું રહ્યું નિર્મૂળ...


દેવ-દેવી રૂપો પણ ક્યાં મુક્ત?
પ્રાણેષ્ણા પ્રતાપોથી ભરપૂર!

એથી જ પત્યેક વિશેષ હદપૂર્ત
સિદ્ધિ, શક્તિ, અલગ અલગ અપૂર્વ!

અલાયદા ઓળખને લગતાં રૂપ 
મૂળે કેન્દ્ર એક જ , વિસ્તરણ અનુરૂપ.

જીવનવહનને લગતાં જરૂરી અનૂકુળ
જેવો મનુષ્ય ને જેવી જેની જરૂર.

માનવધારીમાંથી બન્યાં એ પણ હેતુક
સિદ્ધસ્થ થઈ થયાં ઇશ્વર ઇશ્વરી અમૂક.

દિવ્યતાથી હજી છેટે, એક પગલું દૂર!

Above the mind there are several levels of conscious being, among which the really divine world is what Sri Aurobindo has called the Supermind, the world of the Truth. But in between is what he has distinguished as the Overmind, the world of the cosmic Gods. Now it is this Overmind that has up to the present governed our world: it is the highest that man has been able to attain in illumined consciousness. It has been taken for the Supreme Divine and all those who have reached it have never for a moment doubted that they have touched the true Spirit. For, its splendours are so great to the ordinary human consciousness that it is absolutely dazzled into believing that here at last is the crowning reality. And yet the fact is that the Overmind is far below the true Divine. It is not the authentic home of the Truth. It is only the domain of the formateurs, all those creative powers and deities to whom men have bowed down since the beginning of history. And the reason why the true Divine has not manifested and transformed the earth-nature is precisely that the Overmind has been mistaken for the Supermind. The cosmic Gods do not wholly live in the Truth-Consciousness: they are only in touch with it and represent, each of them, an aspect of its glories.



No doubt, the Supermind has also acted in the history of the world but always through the Overmind. It is the direct descent of the Supramental Consciousness and Power that alone can utterly re-create life in terms of the Spirit. For, in the Overmind there is already the play of possibilities which marks the beginning of this lower triple world of Mind, Life and Matter in which we have our existence. And whenever there is this play and not the spontaneous and infallible working of the innate Truth of the Spirit, there is the seed of distortion and ignorance. Not that the Overmind is a field of ignorance; but it is the border-line between the Higher and the Lower, for, the play of possibilities, of separate even if not yet divided choice, is likely to lead to deviation from the Truth of things.

The Overmind, therefore, does not and cannot possess the power to transform humanity into divine nature. For that, the Supramental is the sole effective agent. And what exactly differentiates our Yoga from attempts in the past to spiritualise life is that we know that the splendours of the Overmind are not the highest reality but only an intermediate step between the mind and the true Divine.

GRATITUDE
There is nothing that gives you a joy equal to that of gratitude. You hear a bird sing, you see a lovely flower, you look at a little child, observe an act of generosity, read a beautiful sentence, look at the setting sun, anything whatever: suddenly this comes upon you, this kind of emotion, so deep, so intense, that the world manifests the Divine that there is something behind the world which is the Divine.

And yet, of all movements, the one that perhaps gives the most joy—an unalloyed joy, untainted by egoism - is spontaneous gratitude. It is something very special. It isn't love, it isn't self-giving. It is a very full joy. Very full. It is a very special vibration unlike anything other than itself. It is something that widens you, that fills you, that is so fervent! Of all the movements within the reach of human consciousness, it is certainly the one that draws you most out of your ego. . . .When you can enter this vibration in its purity, you realise immediately that it has the same quality as the vibration of Love: it is directionless. .. . Ultimately, gratitude is only a very slightly coloured shade of the essential vibration of Love. TM

જન્મદિને ભેટ ...


"આ ભવનું જીવી લીધું 
હવે ભવોભવનું માણ
મા-પ્રભુ સંગ એકમેક
જન્મદિને ભેટ સ્વીકાર. 

અહં નથી આ બોલતો
જોજે, નકારી, ના ગુમાવ. 
અમૂલ્ય જાણ આશીર્વાદ 
જન્મદિનથી શરૂઆત...

કોણ કોને કહે આમ?
પશ્નોત્તરી નથી બેબુનિયાદ.
ઉત્તરોતર એકઠાં થયેલ 
જન્મદિને મેળવ આમ.

આ હું જ છું અહીં, અહીંથી
મને જ કહું છું, માન!
અર્પણ હું, હું જ અર્પિત
જન્મદિનથી હવે હળવાશ.

જો 'મોરલી', તારાં વતી

Nothing left or remain due
Just one goal, focused, attuned
Live life like the Divine clue...

આમ આ નવજીવન પામી
પૃથ્વી પર એક લટાર આવી
તવ હાજરીભર હ્રદય ધબકાવી
પળપળ તુજ ચરણે સમાવી
...ધન્ય ધન્ય! પ્રભુ, આ દિન પામી!

ભીતર વહેતો દરિયો પીછાણી
મનઊર્ધ્વેથી અસ્ખલિત વહાવી
ખરી કરુણાનો સ્વાદ ચખાવી
પળપળ તુજ ચરણે ધરાવી
...ધન્ય ધન્ય! પ્રભુ, આ દિન પામી!

આવા પાલ્યને ખોળે જન્માવી
ભાંડુ, સાથી, દિવ્યબાળો સથવારી
